Health Care Reform 2010 Affects College Grants for Felons

College grants for felons will be affected by the outcome of the Health Care Reform vote of 2010. With the vote anticipated to take place tomorrow, many felons who are looking for grants for felons to attend school will rely heavily on the Pell Grant program. At present, without Health Care Reform, the Pell Grant program is severely underfunded and may not provide the amount of grant money needed for felons, and other students, who want to attend college. As part of the bill that includes Health Care Reform, if passed tomorrow, the government will change the way they subsidize student loans which will add additional funds to the Pell Grant program. It is important, especially for those of us attending college, to encourage our government officials to vote “yes” tomorrow and not just because we need health care reform.
